I’m not completely sure about this, but incumbent Comptroller Mendoza says consolidating the Treasurer and Comptroller’s offices is JUST LIKE slavery! I’m glad we have a Comptroller so attuned to the concerns of minorities. She really gets it… They’re totally the same thing — SLAVERY AND ASKING VOTERS WHETHER WE SHOULD CONSOLIDATE THE treasurer AND cOMPTROLLER’S OFFICES!
“But itβs a terrible issue,β Mendoza replied. βIf they wanted to put slavery on the ballot, would you advocate that they do that? No.β”
